3 Castillos en el Aire
en los alrededores de Dénia.
Torre del Gerro / Jésus Pobre / Castillo de Oliva
España – Comunidad de Valencia – Provincia de Alicante – Marina Alta – Dénia
(Cabo de San Antonio / Castillo de Denia / Marina de Dénia / Oliva)
Imagine soaring along the eastern Spanish coast, the azure Mediterranean Sea sparkling below. Your journey takes you over the Marina Alta, a region north of Alicante where rugged coastlines meet the turquoise waters. Picturesque villages cling precariously to cliffs, offering breathtaking views of hidden coves and sandy beaches. Lush valleys slice through dramatic mountain ranges, creating a landscape that’s as diverse as it is captivating. This is the setting for our first aerial glimpse: the majestic Dénia Castle.
Dénia Castle, a formidable fortress with a history stretching back to the 11th and 12th centuries, proudly stands guard over the town. Seen from above, its imposing walls and towers seem to seamlessly blend with the surrounding cliffs. Within the castle walls lies a treasure trove of history, with archaeological remains and exhibits showcasing the region’s rich past.
As you continue your aerial journey south, the landscape gradually transforms. The dramatic cliffs of the Marina Alta give way to a more gentle coastline as you approach the vibrant region between Alicante and Valencia.
